BIO / ARTIST STATEMENT
I’m a Swiss Artist, originally from Lugano. I have been painting and sculpting since I was very young.
I had my work exhibited at Miami Art Basel 2012 and at Scope Miami, 2015
My style varies from painting to painting.
I don’t find enjoyment in painting the same style repeatedly. I work with whatever mood and feelings I have at that moment, which brings a different result every time. I like to say that I am not a robot. I love to experiment. And for the most part, I don’t really go back to any specific style again. That’s what makes my art a great collector’s piece. I love using primary colors, they are the most vibrant of all colors, they vibrate on a positive level.
I have done my job as an artist if my work brings happiness and warmth to your life. – Maranesi

Ed Husser
Years as a professional graphic designer gave me the ability to successfully create ad layouts using color, shape, photography, type, etc. This led me to experiment with mixed media collage using acrylics, watercolors, colored pencils, paper and other recycled materials and create compositions on wood and canvas. Layering, painting, drawing and tearing papers gives one an endless opportunity for experimentation and enjoyment.
It is especially rewarding when I am able to recycle old magazines, books, shopping bags, wallpaper and other found material in my artwork. Using small pieces of discarded wood make great sturdy surfaces for collage enabling you to layer and glue your materials securely to the surface.
I love starting a project with one idea in mind and ending up with something totally different. That’s why I enjoy the creative process in collage making!
