Rona Younos Peterson, M. Ac., M.OM, L. Ac., A.P., NCCAOM Diplomat of Acupuncture
I hold a Masters in Acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health (Formerly Tai Sophia Institute) in Laurel, Maryland; and a Masters in Oriental Medicine from Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I am a licensed acupuncturist in both Florida and Virginia, as well as being a nationally certified diplomat by NCCAOM (National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine). Additionally, I am trained as a detoxification specialist by NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association). I am a proud member of POCA (People’s Organization of Community Acupuncture).
After practicing acupuncture for several years and receiving acupuncture myself, I have had the honor of being a witness to seeing many people get better. As for myself, getting regular acupuncture has changed my life. Not only has it helped me with my specific health concerns, I feel more relaxed in general; I can think more clearly. I want to use acupuncture to help as many people as I can to make a positive change in their lives. It has been a long-time dream of mine to make acupuncture accessible to many more people, and I am so excited to finally be able to offer this as a possibility.
When not treating patients, I love spending time and having fun with my family, my wonderful husband and children, as well as our dog and cat.
